Marian graduate Grace Curnow broke Arcadia University’s 800 meter record in the preliminaries of the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships.
Curnow, a junior for the Knights, set the mark by posting a time of 2:18.00.
Not only did she set a school record, but the former Fillie turned in the fastest time in the prelims — edging out Kay Wiscount of DeSales (2:18.67) — and moved her into the finals. Curnow finished eighth in the finals in a time of 2:29.24. She also competed in the 1500 and placed 10th, crossing in 4:53.23.
Curnow’s previous best in the 800 was 2:23.82.
