State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Carolyn Dale, 63, of Albrightsville, was charged with simple assault and harassment after police were called to a disturbance at 110 Lamsden Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 12:09 p.m. April 5.

Police said she and Peter Dale, 59, also of Albrightsville, were engaged in an argument regarding alcohol, at which time the woman brandished a kitchen knife, causing the man to lock himself in a bedroom.

He was ultimately able to disarm the woman without injury, police said, but she then grabbed and scratched his arms.

Police said she was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.

• A 24-year-old Effort man was cited for a Dog Law violation after police were called to Johns Road, Chestnuthill Township, at 8:10 p.m. April 21, police said.

The man’s dog went onto the property of a 56-year-old woman from Effort and bit her dog, causing an apparent minor injury, according to police.
