Let me say up front that I am not a fan of Donald Trump.

Nonetheless, when a leader is able to recognize that he made a mistake and then attempts to correct his screw-up, that leader deserves some recognition.

When Mr. Trump realized that his original tariff proposals would cause economic chaos, he wisely backed down. I hear some people are saying he caved, but that is such a harsh word, and I prefer backed down.

I believe this is just the first step. Soon he will also realize that many of his appointees like Hegseth, Kennedy, and Patel have been disasters, his support of Russia is harming Ukraine, his environmental polices are killing the planet, and he will reconsider much as he is doing on the tariffs.
