Miles and Barbara Knappenberger of Franklin Township are celebrating 62 years of marriage on May 4.

They were married in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion in Philadelphia by the late Rev. William O. Moyer.

Miles is the son of the late Miles H. Knappenberger and Lorraine Getz Knappenberger of Long Run. Barbara is the daughter of the late William Peters and Jean Moyer Peters of Weissport.

The couple have five children, Miles Jr. and wife Jackie, Lorraine, wife of Rodney Snyder Jr., Jamie Lynn, wife of Brad Horn, and Michael. Their son William Todd Knappenberger passed away in 2020 at the age of 53. The couple also have five grandchildren, Sarah wife of Adam Matika; Samantha, wife of Tucker Haberman; Brad Lee Horn, William Jr. and Cameron Knappenberger, and two great grandsons, Trever and Travis Haberman.
