Tamaqua police helped capture two suspects linked to a recent homicide in New York.

At approximately 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, Tamaqua officers, working with Pennsylvania State Police and New York authorities, facilitated the swift and secure arrest of two people on the 300-block of West Spruce Street.

Police said the operation was executed efficiently, with both suspects taken into custody in under 5 minutes.

Authorities assure the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
