The Carbon County Emergency Management Office said the office, Pa. Department of Forestry and the firefighters fighting the brush fire on Bear Mountain are grateful with the outpouring of support and donations that have come in so far.

At this time they are converting to non-perishable donations because they have been overwhelmed with perishable donations and they do not want anything to spoil and go to waste.

Non-perishable items can be dropped off at the Diligent Fire Station located on Center Avenue, Borough of Jim Thorpe.
