Alvernia launches online data program

Alvernia University is expanding its graduate offerings with the launch of its Master of Science in Data Analytics, a fully online program designed to equip professionals with the advanced technical and ethical decision-making skills necessary to navigate today’s data-driven world. The program requires just 30 credit hours, allowing students to complete their degree in two years, and is competitively priced at $315 per credit hour and under $10,000 in tuition.

“In an era where data drives critical business and policy decisions, it is imperative that professionals possess not only technical expertise but also a strong ethical foundation,” said Senior Vice President and Provost Leamor Kahanov, Ed.D., ATC/LAT.

By integrating Alvernia’s core values of ethical leadership and community engagement into the program structure, graduates will be prepared to leverage data insights responsibly to drive positive organizational and societal change.

Key courses include:

• Ethics of Data Analytics: Students will examine key ethical principles, privacy concerns, bias in algorithms and responsible data practices in this course.

• Essentials of Data Analytics for Business: Students will gain foundational knowledge of data analytics techniques and their applications in business using the R programming language.
