Marian’s softball team opened its season Saturday with a victory over Executive Education.

Marian’s Emily Upanavage pitched a three-inning no-hitter as the Fillies opened their season with a 15-0 non-league victory over Executive Education.
Upanavage struck out five and didn’t allow any walks.
Deanna Pugh had a single, double, triple, scored three runs and knocked in three. Kayla Birrer added three hits and three RBIs.
The winners also received two hits — a double and a triple — from Hailey Treskolasky, who also scored twice and drove in three runs.
Other key contributors included Malina Lechter (single, triple, two runs, two RBIs) and Gracie Sendatch (single, double, two runs, one RBI).

Josue Rodrigues of Executive Education tossed a two-hit shutout to lead the Raptors to a 6-0 victory over Marian.
Rodrigues allowed eight walks and struck out 12 during his 131-pitch performance.
The winning hurler also knocked in a run, while Randiel Araujo collected two hits and an RBI.
For the Colts, Noah Bauder had a hit and two walks. Chase Grier had the other hit for Marian.
