State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• James Englert, 48, of Tamaqua, was cited for contempt of a Protection From Abuse court order after police were called to an incident at 2:20 a.m. Jan. 1.

They said the incident was on East Foster Avenue in Coaldale and involved a 33-year-old woman from Coaldale.

• Wendy Iris Rivera, 42, of New Philadelphia, was cited for harassment after police were called to a disturbance at 8:18 a.m. Jan. 9 on Valley Street in New Philadelphia.

Police said Rivera and a 34-year-old woman from New Philadelphia engaged in an argument at a bus stop, where Rivera threatened to slap the woman.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that they were called to at 9:15 p.m. Dec. 12 on West Centre Street in Mahanoy City.

They said a 40-year-old woman from Mahanoy City reported her 2025 Buick Envision was “keyed” along its driver’s side between Dec. 10-12.

• Police were called to a theft incident at a property on Locust Lake Road, Ryan Township.

A Barnesville man and woman, ages 74 and 69, respectively, told police they paid a person $12,000 last fall to complete a roof job on their residence and the suspect never completed the job.
