A brush fire broke out Saturday morning in a remote area of Tamaqua. The South Ward fire company who specializes in brush and wilderness fires was dispatched to a brush fire to the rear of the 400 block of Mountain Avenue around 12:30 a.m. when the smoke was spotted throughout the community.
