October 31, 1975 — Mike Schmidt scores 19 points and Tom Underwood adds 16 to lead the Phillies traveling basketball squad to an 85-65 victory over a Panther Valley team at the PV High gymnasium. The Panther Valley team jumps out to an 18-15 first-quarter lead before the Phillies pull away during the second half. The winners also receive 12 points from both Mike Anderson and Tommy Hutton. For PV, Fenton Black collects a team-high 12 points, while Dave Hnat adds nine. Other members of the PV club include Ken Vermillion, Lou Vermillion, Bob Crampsie, Jim Crampsie, Bill O’Gurek, Joe Perilli, Bob McMichael, Bob Polinsky, Bill Lynn, Harry Smyrl, Joe Piosa, Bill Knepper and Fred Hellmund.
