Weissport Council tours streets

Weissport Borough Engineer Mike Muffley, and Weissport Council members Bill Hartzell, Joe Foster, and Arland Moyer did a walking tour around the borough streets to get a better picture of what areas need the most work.

Muffley will present his list at a future meeting.

Borough Council voted to spend up to $100,000 of the Liquid Fuels money on the road projects. That will leave approximately $29,000 for winter road maintenance, plus the new annual payment from Liquid Fuels in the amount of $12,055.39 in March 2025.

Councilmen Bill Hartzell and Arland Moyer later walked the town again, looking for potholes in areas that would not be part of the above project. Hartzell estimated it would need 55 bags of cold patch material at $19.64 per bag, for a total of $1,080.20, plus labor to do the work.
