A Mahoning Township resident is concerned about dead chickens on a township roadway.
Brian Mertz, of Mahoning Drive East, told township supervisors recently that his neighbor has all kinds of junk on his property.
Mertz said that the neighbor has roughly 70 chickens, some of which were dead and on the road.
“It’s just a nuisance,” Mertz said. “It’s just a mess; I just had enough.”
Supervisor Myron “Zeke” Blahy said he understood the concern.
“It seems like it’s getting worse,” Blahy said.
Supervisor Ron Reeser said that the resident’s chickens were in fact dead on the street.
It was noted that the owner of the property has several violations that have been issued against him.
