In honor of Sept. 21, 2001, Ashley Swiezak, career counselor, invited Marine Corps. recruiter Sgt. Santiago Ryce to give a presentation in students’ social studies classes at Tamaqua Area High School.

Ryce spoke about the impact the terrorist attacks had on today’s military, the aftermath and the history of the Marine Corps. He also spoke about his own personal experience as a Marine. His story inspired and motivated students to consider other career opportunities.
