Rep. Jamie Barton, R-Berks/Schuylkill, announced that he will host his second annual Senior Expo on Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Landingville Fire Company, located at 1 Firehouse Road in Landingville.

The expo gives residents the opportunity to learn about resources and programs provided by state government, as well as local nonprofit and community groups in the area. Health care providers will also offer several health screenings.

“There are so many services out there to help our seniors,” Barton said, “but it’s not always easy to find exactly which program or service would work best. That’s why I’m bringing them all under one roof to make a one-stop shop for older Pennsylvanians.

“I think last year’s event was a big success, and we’re hoping to help even more people this year!”
