Weissport Borough Council conducted the following business Tuesday night:
• Voted to amend the current rental contract for the use of the Weissport Borough Park.
The addition will be that park renters will be allowed to set up in the park starting at noon the day before the event, and must be out of the park by noon the day after the last day of the event.
• Council voted to approve the increase in the monthly fee to use QuickBooks for the borough. The rate is going from $50 to $99 per month.
• Voted to retain Kirk Summa & Co. of Brodheadsville to conduct the audit for the Borough of Weissport. Summa has been doing audits for the borough for the past several years.
• UGI will begin working on White Street near Forge Street by the end of September to relocate the gas lines prior to the work to fix the drainage issues at the intersection. Council is also applying for some additional grant money from Carbon County to do the drainage repairs on both sides of the street at the same time.
