The Carbon County Commissioners acted on or discussed the following items during their weekly meeting on Thursday.
• Approved the distribution of $20,357.59 from the City of Bethlehem to the following school districts and municipalities as payment-in-lieu-of-taxes for 2024 for property owned by the Bethlehem Water Authority. Carbon County will receive $6,118.10; Jim Thorpe Area School District, $8,528.30; Palmerton Area School District, $5,046.86; Penn Forest Township, $355.34; Towamensing Township, $304.29; and Lower Towamensing Township, $4.70.
• Approved a project activity completion extension request for the Community Development Block Grant project in Weissport from Sept. 30 to April 30, 2025. The project includes water/sewer improvements on Forge and White streets.

• Resignation: Jeffrey G. Velander of Brodheadsville, full-time first assistant public defender, effective Sept. 13.
