Palmerton Area School District’s board of directors approved several personnel changes Tuesday night.

The board hired Hailey Hatzis and Alex Schwab as substitute teachers at a daily rate of $110, effective Wednesday. Additionally, Donna George was approved as a short-term substitute instructional assistant at $10 per hour, effective from Aug. 27-Dec. 12. Rose Smith and Jacqueline Reinert were also approved as substitute food service workers at $10 per hour, effective Aug. 27.

The board also accepted multiple resignations.

Ashley Williams, a learning support teacher, resigned effective Aug. 13. Additionally, Courtney Gawrys, an instructional assistant, resigned effective July 31.
