“Godspell,” the musical from the 1970s, is coming to Tamaqua on Sunday. Sing for America, a semiprofessional theatrical group from the Lehigh Valley, will perform the musical beginning at 6 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, corner of Washington and Lafayette streets.

“Godspell” is a series of a parables, most of which are based on the Gospel of Matthew; three of the parables featured are only in the Gospel of Luke. The performance is sponsored by the Tamaqua Ministerial Association and the Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network (TAFFN).

Admission is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be taken. A fellowship time with refreshments follows the performance.

TAFFN is a nonprofit organization comprised of lay leaders from Tamaqua area churches under the umbrella of the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership.
