The Marshalls store in Mahoning Township will hold its highly anticipated grand opening next week at the Carbon Plaza Mall.

Marshalls will host the event from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Aug. 22 at 1241 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East.

The roughly 25,000-square-foot store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily.

It features a fresh selection of brand name and designer fashion at discount prices, and a broad range of products, from fashion and beauty to home.

“We believe that everyone deserves to get the good stuff, and we are excited to bring that to shoppers in Lehighton,” said Peter Benjamin, president of Marshalls. “With new items arriving weekly, this store will offer an ever-changing selection of high-quality, on-trend, and brand-name merchandise all at the amazing prices that Marshalls is known for.”

In addition to providing a new shopping option for local residents, the new store plans to add about 60 full- and part-time jobs to the area.

In celebration of its new Lehighton location, Marshalls will contribute to the local community by donating $10,000 to Victims Resource Center. Marshalls also has national and local partnerships with charitable organizations around the country including Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), Alzheimer’s Association and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Marshalls has over 1,200 stores spanning 48 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Since opening its first store more than 40 years ago, the Marshalls name has become synonymous with off-price shopping.
