The Pleasant Valley School Board approved a change order reimbursement on Thursday concerning heating ventilation and air conditioning.

The reimbursement was to Myco Mechanical Inc. for building permits for Chestnuthill and Polk townships for the districtwide HVAC replacement project. The amount of the reimbursement is $11,104.45.

In other business, the directors approved using Elementary and Secondary School Education Relief Funds for three purchases.

• PlayWallSports.com - MultiBall software subscription for Pleasant Valley Intermediate interactive floor from July 1 to June 30, 2027. Cost is $1,159.98 per year. First year to be paid from ESSER III 20% Learning Loss.

• Green’s Paving - PVI playground walkway. Total cost is $14,650 to be paid from ESSER III.

• Carrier BSS - Heating and cooling split system for middle school rooms. Total cost is $37,563.28 to be paid from ESSER III.

The following contracts also were approved:

• School device coverage - Insurance for all district laptops with terms from Aug. 21 to Aug. 20, 2025, and cost of $29 per device;

• Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf - Student transportation for the 2024-2025 school year for $8,500;

• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 - To provide the following web-based curriculum licenses: Symbolstix license cost, $169.74 per license for five licenses, total cost of $848.70; Unique Learning license, $732.34 per license for five licenses, total $3,661.70 to not exceed $4,510.40, for the 2024-2025 school year;

• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 - Will provide psychiatric evaluations as requested for the 2024-2025 school year. Rates: psychiatric evaluation, $329.50; psychiatric amendment, $131.80; fee for no show appointment, $131.80; fee for cancellation in less than 48 hours’ notice, $131.80;

• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 – Cost is $6.39 per month for 12 months, not to exceed $76.68, plus a fee of $1.33 per minute for interpreting services in collaboration with Transperfect. Effective for the 2024-2025 school year;

• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 - Provide for Child Find Evaluations for the 2024-2025 school year. Rate of services: adaptive physical education, $89.72 per hour; alternative augmentative communication evaluation, $748 per evaluation; educational audiology services, $283.66; feeding team evaluation, $1,200 per evaluation; itinerant hearing support, $189.56 per hour; itinerant vision support, $333.41 per hour; occupational therapy, $143.87 per hour; orientation and mobility services, $333.41 per hour; physical therapy, $165.37 per hour; psychological services, $139.83 per hour; and speech and language support, $141.18 per hour;

• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 - Secure license practical nurse or registered nurse to administer medication for Pleasant Valley School District students while attending Community Based Instruction and/or field trips. Cost, $62 per hour for LPN or RN. Effective for the 2024-2025 school year;

• Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 - One-on-one job coaching services for a PVSD Student 1, 2, 3 and 4, from Sept. 9 to May 30, 2025; cost is $58.67 per hour for 170 hours, not to exceed $9,973.80 each;

• Trane - Pleasant Valley Elementary School Trane Chiller Service Agreement, term July 1 to June 30, 2027; cost 2024-25 school year $5,244; 2025-26 year $5,575; 2026-27 year $5,933;

• Trane - Pleasant Valley Polk School Trane Chiller Service Agreement, term July 1 to June 30, 2027; cost: 2024-25 year $2,794, 2025-26 year $2,970, 2026-27 year $3,169;

• Trane - Pleasant Valley Middle School Trane Chiller Service Agreement, term July 1 to June 30, 2027; cost: 2024-25 year $5,589, 2025-26 year $5,941, 2026-27 year $6,315;

• Trane - Pleasant Valley Intermediate School Trane Chiller Service Agreement, term July 1 to June 30, 2027; cost: 2024-25 year $5,589, 2025-26 year $5,941, 2026-27 year $6,315, and;

• Trane - Pleasant Valley High School Trane Chiller Service Agreement, term July 1 to June 30, 2027, cost: 2024-25 year $6,252; 2025-26 year $6,646; 2026-27 year $7,065.
