Chestnuthill seeks easement for bridge
Chestnuthill Township supervisors adopted a resolution concerning an easement for a bridge replacement.
The permanent/temporary construction of a bridge replacement easement is for a property at 257 Silver Valley Road for Brian Mullally and Kerri Leigh McCormack. The easement on the property will allow the township to complete the bridge project on Silver Valley Road.
In other business, correspondence was received from the Jackson Township supervisors thanking Chestnuthill Township for providing an operator for the recent road widening project. Jackson Township will provide a paver to Chestnuthill for three days.
Midlantic Engineering was authorized to begin soil testing at the transfer station with 902 Department of Environmental Protection Recycling grant money. A call for bids will be put out on in July, not to exceed $4,000, to complete the third lane canopy and car path for the forklift to go from the building to the recycling station.
Kobalt Construction will receive a third payment of $28,404 for work related to construction of the salt shed and building foundation at the transfer station.
Authorization was approved to advertise for bids of the six Sun Valley lots, and one additional lot, that the township took ownership of after demolition of the previous structures. The lots need to be joined to adjacent lots, because they are not sufficient for septic systems. One lot on Parish Park Road does not have any restrictions.
Under new business, the supervisors moving forward with the CJERP (Chestnuthill, Jackson, Eldred, Ross and Polk townships) Regional Comprehensive Plan to hire Strategic Solutions LLC as a consultant.
Strategic Solutions will be consulting to do the plan update for the townships involved.
Plans were tabled for the Pleasant Valley Assembly of God, but a lot line adjustment was approved for Russell and Denise Gould’s minor subdivision. The lot line adjustment will allow for one lot of 2.28 acres and one of 13.27 acres.
Numerous waivers were requested for a proposed subdivision. Warren Merwine Jr., the owner of 115 acres on Starry Lane, wants to subdivide out a two acre parcel for a residence. A request for a private access road, 18 feet wide and 50 feet long, also was requested. Albright said he receive conditional approvals on the waivers.
