The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 “For the Love of Tamaqua” photo contest is underway.

“Each year, we eagerly anticipate the photo contest! It’s a fantastic opportunity to engage the community and view our area from diverse perspectives,” said Aimee Dotson, the chamber’s executive director. “Whether it’s snapshots of downtown Tamaqua, historic landmarks, farms, parks or kids playing, the submissions create a wonderful collection showcasing why the Tamaqua Area is a great place to live.”

Participants are asked to submit photographs of the sights and scenes that make them think of — and love — Tamaqua.

Gift cards will be awarded to the top three winners. The grand prize winner will have their photo printed on the cover of the 2024 Tamaqua Area Community Progress Book and receive two tickets to the chamber’s annual dinner on Oct. 3 at Mountain Valley Golf Course.

Dotson said all submissions will be highlighted in the progress book.

To be eligible, photos must be taken within Tamaqua Area School District limits. All photos must be from between Sept. 1, 2023, and now and be submitted digitally to chamber@tamaqua.net by Sept. 1. They must be accompanied by completed application forms.
