Slatington Mayor Jeralyn Schoch swears in the newest council member William Schippers Monday night at the parks and recreation meeting. He is taking the place of Walter Niedermeyer, who died last month. Schippers will also replace Niedermeyer on the highway committee. Schippers and his wife Alicia have two children.
