Bowmanstown Borough Council

Bowmanstown Borough Council took the following action on Tuesday:

• Agreed to file a zoning permit concerning solar panels in East Penn Township on borough-owned property along Route 895, right after the last house on the left heading west, with the address of 1938 E. Lizard Creek Road.

• Declined a request from Landmark, which offered to purchase the cell tower lease from the borough. The address for the cell tower is 321 Lime St.

• Approved a quote received from Lang’s Landscaping to drop up to 12 dead trees along Route 895 at a cost of $1,500.

• Tabled a quote for $6,663 for East Penn data logger to the flow meter at the East Penn pump station.

• Tabled a proposal for a flow meter set up at the Wastewater Treatment Plant dedicated to only Bowmanstown influent flow.

• Agreed to allow one-way traffic along the 200 bock of Lime Street and the 400 block of Hamilton Street and angle parking along Lime Street for the Community Picnic on July 13, as well as to close Lime from Hamilton to Spring during the festival, and to place appropriate detour signs.

• Agreed to put a motion in support of the Stormwater Maintenance on State Highways Senate Bill 191 on next month’s council agenda for possible action. It pertains to the issue of what entity is responsible for the stormwater drainage facilities on state highways.
