Schuylkill County Commissioner Gary Hess said last week he recently attended the Coal Cracker Regional Racing Hall of Fame induction.

“This is the fifth or sixth year for this event,” Hess said. “It’s amazing how many tracks there are around here.”

Hess said 11 drivers were inducted into that Hall of Fame: Larry Acker, Frankie Burke, Larry Graver, Keith Prutzman, Bill Quinter, Michael Radocha, and Warren Ruffner, the Peg and Jerry Frank Media Award.

Inducted posthumously were: Joe Bluis, Doug Hoffman, Don Lader and Cecil Thompson Sr.
