Men charged in Monroe kidnapping case

Davaun Carlon Jackson of Jackson Township, Monroe County, is facing numerous charges relating to the kidnapping of four women earlier this week.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said his arrest came Tuesday after they received a telephone call at 10:44 a.m. from a driver following a Ford SUV on Route 33 northbound, telling police four women were previously kidnapped and two of them were currently in the vehicle the caller was following.

State police were joined by Pocono Mountain Regional Police in locating the suspect’s vehicle parked at the Walmart Supercenter in Mount Pocono where the arrest of Jackson and an accomplice, Isaiah Rogers-Keeney, followed.

Jackson is charged with kidnapping, robbery, rape, terroristic threats, tampering with evidence, unlawful restraint, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, involuntary servitude, strangulation, false imprisonment and harassment.

Initially, police said they found Rogers-Keeney and one of the women victims inside the vehicle, before observing Jackson and the second woman coming out of the store. The two men were taken into custody.

Police said their investigation determined Jackson and Rogers-Keeney on Monday ordered the four women to enter a vehicle. The women were transported to one of Jackson’s properties in Smithfield Township, where police said Jackson took them into a shipping container and bound three of them with rope to restrain them.

Police said he threatened to kill the females while holding multiple weapons and then sexually assaulted two of the women.

Rogers-Keeney is charged with liability of conduct of another as an accomplice to Jackson, police said.

Police were assisted at the scene of their apprehension by Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso and investigators from his office.
