Veterans conference planned Wednesday

The Chamber’s Veterans & Military Council presents the inaugural Veterans Leadership Summit from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at University Center at DeSales University, 2755 Station Avenue, Center Valley.

The half-day session focused on veterans in business, veteran entrepreneurs, student veterans, and HR leadership, recruiters, or any business leader/owner looking to hire veteran talent in their workplace. The summit’s goal is to foster innovation and collaboration among the military veteran business community to further empower veterans in business.

Speakers include Brigadier General Maureen Weigl, PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, on how to successfully hire and retain a veteran workforce; Crystal Houser (U.S. Army) -Director of Bureau of Workforce Partnership & Operations at the PA Department of Labor & Industry; Robert Opp (U.S. Army) - Veteran Recruitment at TD Bank; Mihai S. Sofronie (U.S. Army), Veteran Employee Resource Group Lead and Global Category Director, Professional Services at Olympus Corporation.
