St. John’s United Church of Christ in Tamaqua will host a rummage “sale” Saturday.

The price of everything?

Not even a penny.

“Everything is free,” explained church member Linda Musseman, who is helping to organize the event.

The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is another way the 150 Pine St. church helps the community.

“We have just about everything. Clothes, coats, gowns, shoes, silverware, knickknacks, tablecloths, dish sets and linens,” Musseman said. “You name it, we have it.”

The church had a similar “sale” several years ago.

While the church is offering everything for free, folks can always drop a monetary donation in a basket. It is not required, however.

Donations for the rummage event are from church members and the community.

The only items that won’t be given away for free are Christmas decorations.
