The Scranton Area Community Foundation, in partnership with Carbon County Community Foundation, and other community sponsors, will host the fifth annual NEPA Gives event Thursday and Friday.

Promoted as the largest philanthropy event in Northeastern Pennsylvania, NEPA Gives is a 24-hour online giving extravaganza that’s all about giving back to the community.

Donations to participating nonprofit organizations are accepted at nepagives.org from 7 p.m. on Thursday to 7 p.m. on Friday.

Local agencies include libraries, scholarship funds and more.
