PSP Fern Ridge — incidents

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a theft by deception case reported by 58-year-old man from Baltimore, Maryland.

They were called to a property on Route 115, Chestnuthill Township, at 12:18 p.m. May 16 where they were advised of a fraudulent vehicle sale to the 58-year-old man.

Stolen were $35,000 in cash, plus a $30 transfer fee for a 2020 Toyota 4Runner.

• Police were called at 2:41 p.m. May 7 to a property on Candy Court, Chestnuthill Township, to look into the welfare of an 8-year-old boy from Stroudsburg.

They did not provide any details about the welfare check.

• A 73-year-old Kunkletown man reported a theft by deception attempt to police on May 6.

They said the man reported between noon April 30 and noon May 6 an unknown person contacted him via email and attempted to have him pay for items/services he did not purchase.

Police said the man contacted the Wells Fargo Bank to have his debit card frozen to prevent any loss.

• Brielle Wisner, 19, of Pen Argyl, and Sergio Uribe, 18, of Effort, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a domestic incident at 8:19 p.m. May 10 at 607 Country Acres Court, Chestnuthill Township. Police said they were involved in an argument that turned physical.

• Thomas Davis, 50, of Albrightsville, was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Institute, Nesquehoning, on charges of criminal trespass after police were called to an incident at 7:10 p.m. May 12 at a property on Hunter Lane, Penn Forest Township. A 49-year-old woman from Albrightsville reported Davis entered her residence without authorization to do so.
