Lehighton Borough Police Department participated in a focused Impaired Driving Training and Enforcement detail titled “Operation Nighthawk.” This training was hosted by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Patrol Division.

One officer from Lehighton Borough Police Department attended this detail. The officer participated in four hours of classroom training and three hours of focused DUI enforcement on May 17 and 18.

The enforcement was conducted between 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. The enforcement totals for both days: 18 citations issued, 13 vehicles stopped, three written warnings and one DUI arrest made.
