The Tamaqua Jaycees installed officers and honored Larry Fritzinger on becoming a J.C.I. Senator during a banquet held Saturday at the Tamaqua Community Center.

Fritzinger, who had twice been named the local club’s Jaycee of the Year and served as its president in 1977, became the fifth person to receive the coveted international honor in the 29-year history of the Tamaqua Jaycees. Other recipients were John Miorelli, Manuel Filloy, John Laughlin and Mark Fegley.

Installed as officers during the program were Mark Valentine, president; Fritzinger, vice president; Michael J. Cannon Jr., secretary; Jack Machtel, district director; and Patrick E. Gallagher and Charles F. Burrell, directors.
