Penn Forest man dies in motorcycle crash

A Penn Forest Township man has died as the result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash Thursday evening in Lehigh County.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said in a statement that James J. Gallagher, 33, was pronounced dead at 8:49 p.m. Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg.

The cause of death is multiple traumatic injuries due to motorcycle accident. The manner of death is accidental.

Gallagher was the operator of a motorcycle that lost control and struck a curb at around 8:02 p.m. in the 400 block of Fullerton Avenue.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the Whitehall Township Police Department is also investigating.
