Coaldale man charged after rock throwing

A Coaldale man who was throwing rocks at a housing complex on May 5 was charged with criminal trespass and other offenses.

According to Coaldale police, Randall Walters, 45, had been arrested last year for breaking into a residence there and had been ordered to stay away.

Police said they were called at 7:19 p.m. for a report of a man - identified as Walters - throwing rocks at the apartment building.

Coaldale police, with assistance from the Lansford Police Department, located Walters and spoke to the resident.

The resident said Walters was throwing rocks at her apartment window and caused damage to the building’s siding.

Police took Walters into custody and said they found a small amount of marijuana and a rock in his possession.

Walters was told that he was not allowed on the property due to the 2023 incident. He told police that he was throwing rocks but was not trying to hit the building.

Police also charged Walters with harassment, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
