“Rock of Ages” will be performed at the Tamaqua Arts Center at 7 p.m. May 30 and 31, and June 1.
The immersive theater experience is set at the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood, and the party has been raging hard.
At one of the Sunset Strip’s last legendary venues, Stacee Jaxx takes the stage. Amid the madness, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage and also longs for small town girl Sherri, who is fresh off the bus from Kansas and has stars in her eyes.
But the rock-n-roll fairy tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the strip into a strip mall.
Can Drew, Sherri, and the gang save the strip - and themselves - before it’s too late?
Only the music of hit bands Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and more hold the answer.
The cast features Aimee Hegedus and Michael Gower as leads Sherri and Drew. Other cast members include Alicen Hull, Briana Morrison, Christine Rottet, Tara Flores, Reece Means, Kipp Tonkin, Sierra Ward, Alec Roseland, Luigi Zizzo, Adam Bachert, Dillon Strobeck and Mya Heffner.
Tickets are available at www.tamaquaarts.com.
