State police release liquor violation details

The following data was released by the State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement:

• The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement office that oversees Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties received 49 complaints during the month of March, according to a statistical report released by the department. Acting on those complaints, officers sent 10 violation letters and 10 warning letters to licensed premises for violations of state liquor laws.

Police said they also issued 18 citations for underage consumption and/or possession of alcohol, and also made 10 criminal arrests that stemmed from their investigation.

• A Monroe County business has been cited by the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, for a violation of state liquor laws.

Police said ARV Beverages, Blakeslee, was cited on Feb. 19 for a violation of the Liquor Code in that it was not a bona fide restaurant in that it maintained insufficient seating.
