May 8, 2003 - Andy Ligarzewski drills a walk-off homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Marian to a 9-8 Schuylkill League victory over Jim Thorpe. Ligarzewski finishes the contest 4-for-5 with two doubles, the homer and three RBIs. T.J. Lawrence picks up the win in relief and contributes a pair of hits and an RBI. The Colts, coached by Jeff Nietz, also receive three hits and an RBI from Ryan McGinley, while Tyler Balliet adds a couple hits and knocks in a run. For the Olympians, Jason Figura ends with two hits - one a double - and two RBIs.
