PSP Schuylkill Haven - crashes

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following crashes:

• Neil C. Engelen, 42, of Pine Grove, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:33 p.m. April 27 on Stanhope Road in Pine Grove Township.

He was transported by personnel from the Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven Area EMS corps to the Hershey Medical Center.

Police said he was driving a 1993 Volvo that crashed south of Medico Road. Police said when they arrived at the scene, Engelen was still inside the badly-damaged vehicle until being removed by emergency personnel and life-flighted to the Hershey facility.

• Daniel T. Braun, 21, of Pottsville, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:38 p.m. May 1 on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township.

Police said he did not require a medical transport after the incident.

They said it happened when Thomas J. Renninger, 67, of Orwigsburg, driving a 2022 Dodge Ram truck, made an improper turn onto Route 61 and sideswiped a 2018 Ford Fusion driven by Braun. The car had to be towed from the scene while the truck was able to be driven, police said. Police said Renninger was cited for the incident.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:09 a.m. May 1 at the intersection of routes 895 and 61 in West Brunswick Township.

Police said it happened when a 2017 Subaru Impreza driven by Jessica N. Dunkelberger, 30, of Kempton, was traveling east on Route 895 at a high rate of speed when a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Raymond Mamuzich III, 35, of Tamaqua, was westbound on Route 895 and attempted to turn left onto Route 61, resulting in the Impreza striking the Silverado. Police said Dunkelberger was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• Kimberly A. Cook, 41, of Pottsville, was injured when a 2000 Harley Davidson she was driving on Long Run Road in Wayne Township struck a deer in the roadway.

It happened at 8:31 p.m. April 29. Police said she was transported by personnel from the Schuylkill EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

• Domonyque M. Ladd, 33, of Philadelphia, was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:46 a.m. April 11 on Tremont Road in Pine Grove Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Tremont Area Ambulance to the Hershey Medical Center.

They said she was driving a 2020 Dodge Journey northbound when it left the roadway, struck a utility pole and boulder and flipped onto its roof.

Police said charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance are pending against Ladd.
