State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Two men from Effort, ages 69 and 42, were cited for harassment by physical contact after a confrontation that took place at 5:55 p.m. April 24 on Recreation Drive in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they were involved in an argument regarding putting gas in a car when it escalated and they shoved each other.

One of the men suffered an injury to his right thumb, police said.

• Police are investigating the theft of $4,980 worth of diesel fuel at the ONVO Travel Plaza, 2550 Route 534, East Side Borough.

Police said it happened between 2:06 and 2:33 a.m. April 24 when a white box truck-style vehicle with “metro EAZY EXPRESS” written on its front parked next to the pump and began to possibly tamper with it. Moments later, a white utility pickup truck took the spot of the first truck and began fueling from two pumps before leaving the property.

Police said they believe there are possibly four suspects involved in the incident.

Stolen was 1,200 gallons of diesel fuel.

• A 34-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Stroudsburg, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a fight at 2:40 p.m. April 7 at a property on Stony Brook Drive in Jackson Township.

In a separate incident report, police said a 59-year-old woman from Piscataway, New Jersey, and a 28-year-old woman from Stroudsburg were cited for harassment by physical contact. Police said it was reported at 1 p.m. April 7 on Stony Brook Drive. They said the women were separated before their arrival.

• A 34-year-old Philadelphia woman was cited for criminal mischief after police responded to an incident at 8:56 p.m. April 7 at a property on Wild Creek Drive in Penn Forest Township.

Police said a 37-year-old man from Philadelphia reported an unwanted woman at the residence. Police said she left the premises before their arrival but police observed the front door of the home was damaged. The estimated damages are $400.

• An Effort man reported to police his cat was attacked by his neighbor’s dog at 8:48 a.m. April 6.

Police said the David Way resident reported the dog was from Barry Road in the township and attacked his cat.

• Robert Beam, 62, of Saylorsburg, was cited for false alarms/dialing devices after police responded to a false alarm at 8:24 p.m. April 19 at 1509 Fawn Valley Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said it was the fifth time in a 12-month period that the alarm was activated, necessitating a police response.
