Police cite two area businesses cited for liquor violations

Two businesses have been cited by the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, for state liquor violations.

The businesses will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50-1.000 for a minor offense and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.

The Lynnville Hotel, New Tripoli, was cited for failure to have its board-approved manager complete RAMP owner/manager training within 180 days of the board’s approval of the appointment. The citation lists the period of Feb. 28-March 14.

The Andreas Sporting Club, Andreas, is facing two citations.

Between Feb. 2, 2023, and Jan. 11, 2024, and Feb. 2 through March 25, 2024, the club’s agents failed to submit annual reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

The second violation states between Dec. 2, 2022, and Dec. 4, 2023, the club’s agents failed to maintain records in conformity with the provisions of the Liquor Code.
