The 1992 Easter Seals Telethon tote board showed a whopping $25,428 after airing for 12 hours on Blue Ridge TV-13 on Saturday.

The total surpassed the 1991 telethon total of $23,000.

Hosts included radio’s Billy Waschko, Darryl Seiwell, Tom Heinz, Joe Plechavy and John Seaman, the society’s president.

Easter Seals provides occupational, physical and speech therapies to its clients, as well as providing special equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and equipment for bathing the disabled.
