A home was heavily damaged by fire Monday evening in Tamaqua. The fire was reported around 7 p.m. at 110 Pitt St. with possible entrapment. When firefighters arrived on scene they found the rear of the home heavily involved in flames. Fire companies from Schuylkill and Carbon counties responded. All of the occupants of the dwelling managed to escape the flames. Tamaqua fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the area streets.
