The Times News is asking people to write letters on different subjects of interest each month.

This month we are asking readers to write about solar farms.

Plans have been proposed in Polk and Chestnuthill townships in Monroe County.

One has been proposed in West Penn Township and municipalities are working on ordinances about solar farms.

Voice your opinion on the subject in 350 words or less. This letter would be in addition to the regular monthly letter.

The same rules apply. All letters must be signed and include the author’s town with a phone number in order to confirm the letter.

Readers are also invited to send candidate support letters of 250 words are less. Deadline for support letters is Tuesday, April 16.
