Monroe County incidents

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• Police said the driver of a 2021 Mack truck crashed and landed on its passenger’s side in an incident at 4:34 p.m. March 25 on Greenhill Road in Polk Township.

Police did not identify the driver but said the vehicle was southbound when it was approached by another vehicle traveling north. They said the driver said he moved over for the oncoming vehicle, and his tire left the road and the vehicle overturned onto its passenger’s side, and landed an embankment.

A towing service righted the vehicle and it was able to be driven from the scene, police said.

• A two-vehicle crash was at 1:02 p.m. March 1 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police did not identify the drivers but said a woman driving a 2016 GMC Terrain told them she was northbound when traffic abruptly slowed, causing the vehicle to hit a 2013 Nissan Altima from behind. Police said no one was injured and damages were minor.
