April 11, 1989 - Steph Ebbert pitches a one-hitter and Palmerton’s bats explode after a slow start, giving the Blue Bombers an 11-1 Centennial League victory over Lehighton. Ebbert retires the Indians in order in four of the five innings, allowing just a second-inning single to Lori Andrew, and strikes out six. With the score tied 1-1, Palmerton - coached by Barb Jones - scores four runs in the fourth and six more in the fifth to gain the win. Vicki Paulas, Shannon Neff and Carolee Boyer each deliver RBI hits in the fourth, while Amy Stroup’s two-run single is the biggest hit in the fifth.
