Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehightonn begins at 9:30 a.m. synodically approved lay minister Kathy Long presides.

Sunday Church School classes begin at 10:45 a.m.

The youth pancake brunch fundraiser takes place in Luther Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 14. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Proceeds benefit youth service projects and activities.

The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible.

BECC

Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., Lehighton, will host Sunday Morning Worship at 10:45 a.m. Sunday school will be held at 9:30 a.m.

• Tuesdays: Prayer meeting in overflow room, 7 p.m.; Girl Scouts Troop at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

• Wednesdays: Girl Scouts at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall; Boy Scouts at 6:30 p.m. upstairs.

• Thursday: Men’s Bible Study, 5 a.m.

• April 20: 1 to 3 p.m. Community Spring Fling for school age children age 5 to 12. Open to all community children regardless of church affiliation. Parents are welcome. Enter through the side door of the church in the alley.

• April 28: Pot luck meal immediately following Sunday worship service.

St. John’s

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. W., Lehighton will hold worship service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Sunday school is held from 9:45 to 10:40 a.m.

Rummage Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Jewelry will be excluded from the bag sale. The church will be collecting for the Carbon County Animal Shelter and the Carbon County Friends of Animals Shelter. Bring a donation and receive a chance to win a $25 gift card to Walmart or Giant. A grief support group will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday.

A Spring Clothing Drive will be held in April and May. There will be a large box in the Narthex for items. Items should be specific for the Spring and Summer months.

Dinkey Memorial Church has a food cupboard available to those in need of supplemental food resources. It is available to members of Dinkey Memorial and St. John’s, and to residents of East Penn Township. The distribution is the third Thursday of every month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Dinkey’s Social Room, located below the sanctuary. If you or anyone you know would benefit from receiving food from the Community Cupboard, please speak with Pastor Tony.

Ben Salem UCC

Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Road, Lehighton will hold a Healing Service on April 14 at noon.

• Ham and Dandelion Dinner will be held on April 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. Dessert and beverage will be included.
