Palmerton Police Department responded to 168 calls in March.

The following were charged:

• Ronald Sauler, 29, Woodbury, New Jersey, one count each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, on Feb. 11 in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue.

• George Shotwell, 43, Palmerton, one count each of harassment by physical contact and resisting arrest, on March 1 in the 700 block of Church Street.

• Timmy Priest, 39, Summit Hill, one count each of identity theft, false identification to law enforcement authorities, and obstructing administration of law or other government function, on March 15 in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Christopher Schaeffer, 50, Palmerton, one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, on March 16 in the 100 block of Avenue A.

Other incidents

• Palmerton Police filed four non-traffic citations; two for unpaid parking tickets, one for a parking lot violation, and one for retail theft.

• Palmerton Police issued 28 traffic violation warnings and 41 traffic citations: 28 for expired inspection, three each for speeding and stop sign violations, two each for expired registration and careless driving, and one each for investigation by police officer, obedience to traffic control devices, and driving vehicle at safe speed.
