Northern Lehigh High School seniors can mark their calendars after a date to celebrate their making the grade has been set.

On a 7-0 vote, the school board on Monday approved graduation for 7 p.m. May 31 in Bulldog Stadium.

The rain dates are June 1 or June 2, at a time to be determined.

Directors Chad Christman and Rhonda Frantz were absent.

The board also approved the following matters on Monday:

• The request of a parent of a second-grade student #3390123 at Peters Elementary School whose parents are moving out of the district, to allow their student to stay with their grandparents and finish the 2023-2024 school year in the Northern Lehigh School District in accordance with student policy #202.

• The request of a parent of a fifth-grade student #3190193 at Slatington Elementary School and a seventh-grade student #2990170 at Northern Lehigh Middle School, who are moving out of the district, to allow their students to finish the 2023-2024 school year in the Northern Lehigh School District in accordance with student policy #202.

• An expulsion hearing waiver for student #3090202. The student and guardian have agreed to waive their right to a formal expulsion hearing in front of the school board and have also agreed to disciplinary action outlined in the waiver.
