Carbon Co. needs more poll workers

Carbon County is looking for a few more poll workers for the upcoming April Primary Election.

On Thursday, Commissioners’ Chairman Michael Sofranko said that he received word from the elections office that there are some vacancies that need to be filled.

He said that poll workers are paid $175 a day.

To be a clerk in a polling place, you need to be a registered voter in Carbon County, but you do not need to reside within the municipality in which the poll worker vacancy is located.

Anyone interested in filling one of these positions should call the elections office at 570-325-4801.
